Kelly Casey is the seasoned mentor for the Bunting Beavers. She has played with Notsos for four years and loves pretty much everything about the league (even after spending a couple years on the league's collective!). Her"Notso claim to fame" is playing in the finals two years in a row against Michelle Z. and winning both times, which is no surprise considering she had been playing ball far too many years to even remember.
Kelly has quite a few favorite sports movies, but among them she names Brian's Song, Bull Durham and The Longest Yard (the original version). If this were the Major Leagues, the song that she would choose to play as she came up to bat would be the song Woody wrote for his girlfiend Kelly from Cheers, you know the one that basically went, "kelly, kelly, kelly, kelly....". Which I thought was an excellent pick and now everytime I see her on the field, that damn song gets stuck in my head.
Being a responsible citizen (she is married to a cop after all) Kelly chooses her post-game beverages wisely. She may opt for a Corona, but if she isn't driving she prefers to take her drinking a little more seriously with a double rye/ginger. When not on the field, Kelly loves cooling off by swimming in the pool (which is conveniently located in her backyard).
Kelly is a great person to get to know, not only as a mentor who can answer most of your softball questions, but as someone with a cool laid back vibe that you can enjoy laughs with post-game.
